Sankalp annual forum was held in Nairobi yesterday March 1st 2018. It's aim is to connect Entrepreneurs with investors, corporates and policy makers to facilitate their their growth strategies for the region. Cedars Diagnostics was among 11 other innovations around the world during the Sankalp Forum, having graduated from the second cohort of the healthymagination mother and child programme (2017/18,) designed to combat maternal and child mortality in Africa. The Healthymagination Mother & Child program is run in partnership with GE’s Healthymagination team and Santa Clara University’s Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurs. It is a 7 month program for maternal and child health innovators in sub-Saharan Africa that connects innovators with seasoned, executive mentors who bring Silicon Valley principles and expertise to help us validate our business and scale our work to impact more families. This followed a rigorous and meticulous application and evaluation process since entries were from countries within the Sub-Saharan Africa.The process will culminate to a ‘premier pitch’ event in Nairobi, Kenya (5th Sankalp African Summit) on the 1st-2nd of March 2018.
